As a Trainee Accountant, you will provide essential support to our client's internal staff and external clients. Based primarily at their modern office in Leeds, you will assist with day-to-day accounting duties and provide guidance to sole trader and limited company clients.

Our client believes in nurturing talent, and therefore, they offer comprehensive on-the-job training and ACCA study support if required. This hands-on role involves daily client interaction and the management of a client portfolio. To be considered, you should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accountant's office, with exposure to VAT, year-end accounts, and Payroll.

Responsibilities:

Assist our client with the preparation of financial and management accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies. Managing a portfolio of up to 170- 180 clients with training.

Support the management of client expectations and deadlines.

Prepare personal and business tax returns.

Provide exceptional client support and advice to your designated portfolio.

Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.

Assist with general administrative duties, including client communication, filing, answering telephone calls, and supporting the team to meet deadlines.
